Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 10 July 2026
Last Updated: 10 July 2026

Welcome to Alder E-com LLC (“Alder E-com”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Cancellation Policy explains the terms and conditions relating to the cancellation of services purchased through aldereservices.com.

Our services include website design, website development, Webflow development, website redesign, maintenance, consulting, and other related digital services.

This policy applies subject to any statutory rights you may have under applicable UK consumer protection law.

1. Cancelling a Service Before Work Begins

If you wish to cancel a service before work has started, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where no work has commenced and no non-refundable third-party costs have been incurred, we will normally consider cancelling the service and providing an appropriate refund.

Any refund will be handled in accordance with the terms of the contract and applicable UK consumer law.

2. Statutory 14-Day Cancellation Right

If you are a consumer in the United States and enter into a qualifying distance contract with us, such as purchasing our services online, you may have a statutory right to cancel the contract within 14 days without giving a reason.

This statutory cancellation right is subject to applicable exceptions and conditions under UK law.

If you wish to exercise your statutory cancellation right, please contact us using the details provided at the end of this policy.

3. Services Started During the 14-Day Cancellation Period

If you expressly request that we begin providing services before the end of the applicable 14-day cancellation period, we may begin work before that period has expired.

If you subsequently cancel during the cancellation period after services have started, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the services supplied up to the point of cancellation, where permitted by law.

Any amount charged will be based on the proportion of the service that has actually been provided compared with the full service agreed.

Where a service has been fully performed following your express request for the service to begin during the cancellation period, and you acknowledged the applicable consequences, your statutory right to cancel may no longer apply where permitted by law.

4. Cancellation After Work Has Started

You may request cancellation of a project after work has started. However, cancellation may result in charges for work already completed and reasonable costs incurred in connection with your project.

When assessing a cancellation request, we may consider:

  • The amount of work already completed
  • The time spent working on the project
  • Completed project milestones
  • Deliverables already provided
  • Third-party costs incurred for the project
  • Other reasonable expenses directly related to the project

Any cancellation charges or amounts retained will be reasonable and will not affect any statutory rights you may have.

5. Client Delays and Failure to Provide Information

Projects may require the client to provide content, images, branding materials, login credentials, approvals, feedback or other information.

If a project is delayed because the client does not provide required information, materials, feedback or approvals within a reasonable period, the project may remain subject to the original agreed terms and timeline.

Where significant delays occur, we may contact the client to agree revised deadlines or other appropriate arrangements.

6. Cancellation of Maintenance Services

Monthly or recurring maintenance services may generally be cancelled before the next billing period, subject to the terms of the relevant service agreement.

Cancellation will normally take effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless otherwise agreed.

Amounts already paid for services that have been provided or reserved for the current billing period may not be refundable, subject to applicable statutory cancellation and refund rights.

7. Third-Party Services and Expenses

Some projects may involve third-party services or products, including:

  • Domain names
  • Web hosting
  • Webflow plans
  • Premium plugins
  • Software licences
  • Third-party applications
  • Premium themes or templates
  • Paid digital assets
  • Other third-party services

Where a third-party service or product has already been purchased specifically for your project and the relevant provider does not offer a refund, that cost may be deducted from any applicable refund, where legally permitted.

8. Cancellation by Alder E-com

We reserve the right to cancel a service where circumstances make it reasonably impossible or impractical for us to provide the agreed service.

If we cancel a service before it has been provided, we will contact you and, where appropriate, provide a refund for amounts paid for services that have not been supplied, subject to the terms of the applicable agreement and UK law.

10. Cancellation Confirmation

Once we receive your cancellation request, we will review the request and confirm whether the cancellation has been accepted and the date on which the cancellation will take effect.

Where a refund is due, we will explain the applicable refund amount and the payment method that will be used.

11. Refunds Following Cancellation

Where a refund is due following cancellation, we will normally return the applicable amount using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed or permitted by law.

Where UK consumer law requires a refund, we will process it within the applicable legal timeframe.

The time required for the refund to appear in your account may depend on your bank, card issuer or payment provider.

12. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or limit any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services supplied to consumers must generally be performed with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable contractual requirements.

Where a service does not conform to the contract, consumers may have statutory remedies, which can include repeat performance or an appropriate price reduction in qualifying circumstances.

13. Complaints

If you are unhappy with the way your cancellation request has been handled, please contact us first so that we can investigate the matter and attempt to resolve it.

We aim to handle cancellation-related complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.

14. Changes to This Cancellation Policy

We may update this Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices or applicable legal requirements.

Any changes will be posted on this page with the revised “Last Updated” date.
